LOUISIANA PUBLIC BROADCASTING held an annual Louisiana: A History Bee for three consecutive years during the making of our Louisiana: A History series. It was a statewide competition for middle school students enrolled in Louisiana Studies courses. The contest was conducted during the school year. An educational outreach program of the LPB Educational Services Division, Louisiana: A History Bee was a contest designed to encourage students to learn more about our colorful state. Our state’s history, culture, government, famous people, resources, geography, and current events will also be emphasized in the contest questions. The contest questions were aligned to the Model Curriculum Framework and Grade Level Expectations for Louisiana History courses adopted by the State Department of Education. We hope that your school participated in Louisiana: A History Bee.
