Louisiana Public Broadcasting is pleased to offer a companion Teacher Resource Guide to the Louisiana: A History series. The Teacher Resource Guide is available here in portable document format (pdf). You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on you computer to view and print the guide. You may print the entire guide or pages as needed.

LPB is holding its third annual statewide Louisiana history competition for middle school students currently enrolled in Louisiana Studies courses. The Louisiana A History Bee competition will be held during the 2004-2005 school year to encourage students to learn more about the colorful history of the state. Our state’s culture, government, famous people, geography, and current events will be emphasized in the contest. The contest is an educational outreach project of LPB’s Educational Services Division.

We invite Louisiana History Teachers to submit their innovative lesson plans and/or activities that they have developed to teach their courses. Selected items will be posted on our website. CD-ROM format of the content should be mailed to:
